Meet our Principal
Ms Natalie Charles brings a visionary and dynamic approach to leadership. Appointed as the 14th Principal in January 2025, Ms Charles joins us following a distinguished career as Principal of Mentone Girls’ Grammar, where she championed excellence, innovation, and student empowerment.
With extensive experience across leading educational institutions, including Melbourne Grammar and Carey Baptist Grammar, Ms Charles is dedicated to fostering academic success, wellbeing, and global citizenship. Passionate about empowering young women, she cultivates a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring students and staff alike thrive in a caring, vibrant, and high-achieving community.
In one of her first addresses to St Catherine’s girls, Principal Ms Natalie Charles reflected that leadership isn’t something you have, it’s something you do. It’s a practice and like any practice it takes time, effort, and reflection to master. She went on to share with them the words of Sir Vincent Fairfax who noted that “the power and wealth of a democracy is measured not only by the number and quality of its eminent leaders but by thousands of ‘little’ leaders who provide its real strength.”
Through her leadership, we look forward to seeing how Natalie continues to inspire and empower students to embrace this philosophy, fostering a culture where every girl has the confidence to lead in her own way.
